This is one of Keychron's latest in their range of mechanical keyboards. If you're not yet familiar with mechanical keyboards, they are basically higher quality keyboards than the regular keyboard most people are using with their PC or laptop. The average keyboard uses a rubber membrane under its keys, resulting in a "squishy", somewhat unsatisfying and unresponsive feel. Mechanical keyboards, on the other hand, have mechanical switches. Mechanical switches have a physical switch under each individual key, resulting in a satisfying "click" that can be clearly felt, resulting in more accuracy and tactility, which is essential for writers, typists, programmers and gamers etc. Once you've felt the difference you won't want to go back!
The C1 from Keychron is a wired mechanical (they have wireless options too) tenkeyless keyboard. That simply means that the number-pad and surrounding buttons that you probably never use anyway are removed to create a keyboard with a smaller footprint. This actually helps with ergonomics too, as it brings the mouse and keyboard closer to one another.
Available in white or RGB backlight, with multiple switch options, compatible with Mac and Windows, the C1 is one of the most visually appealing mechanical keyboards we've seen. The color palette is near-perfect in our opinion.
This keyboard like many mechanical keyboards is also hot-swappable, simply meaning that you can remove the keys and the switches underneath them and replace them with different switches for a different typing experience.
