LEMS X HUCKBERRY TRAILHEAD

Lems are one of the best-known minimalist/functional shoe companies out there, and for good reason - they don't just create shoes that are healthy for feet but look weird, like a lot of barefoot and minimalist shoes - Lems shoes look great too. Or even better - Lems shoes look normal. And this collaborative effort with Huckberry is, in our opinion, their best looking shoe so far.

For those who don't know, here's the basics of what makes Lems shoes different to other shoes: First, they are designed around the natural shape of the human foot (and surprise, most shoes aren't!) - this means, primarily, having a nice wide toe-box for your toes to splay out, as they would whilst barefoot. Secondly, they have a minimal heel-drop, that is, difference between the height of the heel and the height of the forefoot. Most of Lems shoes are totally flat, and some, like this Trailhead, have a low drop of 4mm. Having that little bit of heel is a good idea for transitioning from "normal" shoes to zero-drop or barefoot shoes - you want to transition gradually to give your body time to adjust.

With mesh sections for breathability and rubber outsole and EVA midsole, these are serious hiking shoes, and the multiple colorways look great, with subtle flashes of color and suede.
