We've featured Studio Puisto's work before here on Eyeballin' - see their Space of Mind cabin here. This is their newest protoype - a concept for a resort of raised cabins in a Finnish National Park forest. If you appreciate nature, minimalism, and solitude, then a stay at the Kivijärvi Resort in Finland will be the place to go. The development of the Niliaitta prototype provides an experience unlike any other. The floor to ceiling window feature that expands an entire wall of the cabin allows for an unobstructed view of the nature surrounding you. The single pillar supporting the entire structure ensures minimal contact with the forest floor below. The environmentally sensitive materials and coloring blend in with the surrounding trees helping the cabin fit naturally amidst the forest. With the quality of a high-standard hotel room, you have a kitchenette, a bathroom with a spacious shower, and a luxury bed overlooking the serene forest landscape. Clean walls on the interior and exterior will help you rediscover your inner peace and escape from the chaotic world we live in today.
50 cabins are planned for the feature, along with other buildings to complete this unique resort. The woods can be a lonely place, so we think the idea of a retreat in nature with the comfort of knowing there are some other human beings around is a great idea!
